2017 Las Vegas MOST POPULAR shows!

Let more people know about this:

Las Vegas, also known as The Entertainment Capital of the World, is home to dozens of incredible shows with something for just about everyone. While the endless selection is great for us locals, for those of you who are only in town for a few days it can be difficult to pick only one or two shows to experience. For this reason we hand-picked our favorite shows based off of our personal opinions, as well as the opinions of the general public, in hopes of helping you select the perfect show while you’re here. In no particular order read on to discover, what we gather to be, MOST POPULAR shows!

Before talking about shows, we must introduce Cirque du Soleil. There is a reason that we list the entire production company and not just one show in this instance and that is because Cirque du Soleil offers eight shows here in Vegas. While each one is independently unique of one another, they are all incredible. Among the top three fan favorites are “O,” “KA”,”Michael Jackson ONE” and “Mystére” and that makes perfect sense to us.

O show

Show times: 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Wednesday – Sunday. There is only one show at 7p.m on some dates

“O” is not just the name of the show, but also the shape your mouth will take for the entire 90 minutes you’re gawking over this production. The wettest Cirque du Soleil show of all, “O” at Bellagio immerses audiences into a dream world of acrobats, synchronized swimmers, divers and an array of other aquatic characters in, on and above a 1.5-million gallon pool. It’s kinda like that one time you drank a little too much cough syrup and went swimming in your neighbor’s pool – but way cooler.

Don’t freak out, the audience is out of the splash zone – but the daredevils (who are clearly moonlighting as performers) show off their gravity-defying stunts and create illusions with the giant pool that doubles as a stage. Considering the dimensions of this unique performance area, it is easy to feel as though you’re in an alternate universe in this super cool theater.

Fun fact: each performer has several identical custumes that they change into throughout the show… how else do you think they re-appear from their watery plunges bone-dry?

You’ll ooh, you’ll aah, you’ll wonder how in the h-e-double hockey sticks they did that. This show is perfect for just about everybody; unless you’re looking for a rave… then this show is definitely not for you.  But there’s one thing we can guarantee, you’re going to love the way we “O.”

KA Show

Truth is, there’s a Cirque du Soleil production for just about every personality, mood and interest out there. And “KA,” is for the action-loving, adventure-seeking show goers that can appreciate an age-old story of good versus evil. The storyline illustrates the journey of a brother and sister twin duo that becomes separated during a siege of their Far Eastern palace by evil warriors. Yep, this is a royal battle, y’all and they’ve pulled out all the stops.

The entire theater is designed to fit the theme so no matter where your gaze takes you, you’ll be looking at the set. But you’re really gonna love this: the stage is made up of two massive moving platforms that not only float, but turn completely vertical. Did you hear that? That was the sound of our minds being blown. And just wait until you see the suspended fight scenes.

Also, while it’s insanely cool, not all the stunts are done in the air. The Wheel of Death, for example (ohmagah can you believe they have a Wheel of Death?), is positioned firmly on the ground while the daredevil performer flings himself into dangerous heights, where one misstep could lead to his demise. A story of intense battle, and a question of triumph or defeat to the very end, KA is entertainment on an entirely new level. Forreal.

A gigantic baby? A gigantic, inflatable snail? OK, we slurped down our drinks before they could be spiked so, what gives with the hallucinations? Well, the catch is that there is no catch – you’re just at a Cirque du Soleil show and a damn good one at that. Like fine art, the storyline of Mystère at Treasure Island is left up to individual interpretation. But one thing about this production is for sure: this show, which also happens to be the first Cirque du Soleil production in Vegas, is so entertaining you’ll want to stay for an encore after the final bow.

Oh, and speaking of the performers, we always wonder whether or not these crazy-talented people are even human. They’re like the ultimate example of “don’t try this at home.” They fly, they muscle up poles like tree frogs and make us feel pretty damn bad about not being able to touch our toes. They’re friggin’ amazing, and they have no fear and apparently no bones in their super-bendy bodies.

Performing stunts like quadruple flips off see-saws and other sick tricks we average folk couldn’t even dream up if we tried, this show is so unreal you just kinda have to let it happen. Emphasizing family-friendly, awe-inspiring athleticism and imaginative imagery, Mystère embraces all the signature Cirque du Soleil elements that have made the production one of the OG companies on the Las Vegas Strip.

Michael Jackson ONE

You can say we’re part of the King of Pop fan club. You know, we’re a bunch of regular Joes who’ve been known to bust out the moonwalk in the club, wear our hats ever so slightly to the side, and have one glove with us at all times, just in case our moment in the lime light comes. Normal stuff, right?

If you agree, you’re speaking our language and will want to experience something jaw dropping: Cirque du Soleil’s “Michael Jackson ONE.” Yep, that’s right. “ONE” is all about the song, the dance and the mega-iconic man behind it all. In order to celebrate the uber-star responsible for earth-altering musical history, it’s only fitting that the lighting, sound, visual, and performance effects are all larger than life…and then some.

Bringing a whole new meaning to “Lights, Camera, Action!” ONE stuns with much more than those three demands. This show is about as electrifying as it gets while the plot follows four friends on their good-versus-evil quest for solidarity and self-belief, the audience is able to follow along on the journey and dive into Michael Jackson’s vibrant world. Amplified, electrifying, and entertaining beyond your wildest dreams, we’ll just say that Netflix should never air this production because we would binge watch it on repeat for days on end. And frankly, we couldn’t stand the smell of that.

In a world full of uncertainties, in Sin City one thing is certain; all you need is love – Cirque du Soleil’s “The Beatles LOVE,” that is. Packed with action, gravity-defying stunts, and stellar visuals that take us back to the lucid, laced, lava-lamp days of years gone by, LOVE is the grooviest Cirque production of them all.

Set to the re-mastered soundtrack of rock ‘n’ roll’s most beloved troupe of storytelling singers, The Beatles (obviously), this show takes you on a musical journey through the wartime era of WWII. And that’s just the music. With acrobatic feats, aerial stunts, and explosive choreography to boot, you won’t have to dust off that old black book to track down your psychedelics dealer; we assure you that your senses will be blown regardless.

Performed in a round theater, and with speakers just about everywhere in the venue including in every headrest, this show brings a whole new meaning to surround sound for an unbelievable audio experience. And let’s just take a moment to mention the set. There are buildings, courtyards, a Volkswagen Beatle and more, the sets and props of LOVE are something to fall for on their own.

Whether you’re a Beatles fanatic or were born yesterday (FYI babies are not ideal audience members), if you’re human, this is your chance to bust out those bell-bottoms and have a totally righteous night out on the town.

Show times:
7 and 9:30 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday

Zumanity Theatre, New York – New York 3790 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

It’s definitely getting hot in here and the performers are definitely taking off all their clothes. Exploring the very sexy and very un-family-friendly side of Cirque du Soleil, Zumanity whips – er – whisks audience members up for a deliciously wild ride to discover their sensual side. Oh la, la! Have we roused your, um, attention? If we haven’t, the two voluptuous Botero Sisters passing out plump strawberries at the beginning of the show will.

Unlike other Cirque du Soleil productions, Zumanity has no storyline. Instead, this highly eroticized, cabaret-style spectacle offers a bunch of unique characters whose performances are each themed by different elements of sexuality. Oh, and there is no traditional Cirque gibberish either unless you count some moans and groans as such.

You’ll learn very practical life lessons, like how to stash booze in your boobs and getting comfortable with hilariously taboo sex topics. Between the leather, chains, silks and well, some things we just can’t share, you can bet a little laughter is welcomed. With nearly nude aerial artists, contortionists, super limber dancers and the sassiest drag queen host of them all, forget being conservative. Let your hair down, loosen one extra button, and get your naughty on for some sexy entertainment that just may be a precursor for the remainder of your evening.

Show times:
Shows will be at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday – Sunday, with pre-show experiences at 6:30 and 9:00 p.m.

The 60s ushered in an era when smoking on planes was perfectly acceptable, seatbelts weren’t a big deal, your kids were the remote control, and a dark-haired boy from Long Island would grow up to become a household name.

More than your run-of-the-mill “abracadabra,” Criss Angel’s MINDFREAK LIVE! at the Luxor is a one-way ticket into the realm of Vegas’ wizarding bad-assery (yeah, we just coined a new term to express ourselves). It’s nothing like pulling fluffy bunnies out of top hats – if the world of magicians had a bad boy, Criss Angel would be it.

Featuring Angel’s vixen of a co-host Chloe Crawford, who is a supremely talented illusionist in her own right, and a whole slew of comedians, acrobats, dancers and live musicians, this show will leave you puzzled in the most delicious ways. From sleight of hand tricks, laser explosions, pyrotechnics and 3D special effects, let’s just say you’re in Vegas — let your mind be freaked.

So sit back, don’t even think you’re gonna relax, and be prepared to watch this entire show from the edge of your seat.

For those seeking a saucy, sumptuous and all around awe-inspiring evening of entertainment, look no further than Le Rêve at Wynn Las Vegas. You’ll never know how sexy it can be to kick water in someone’s face until you see this show (kinda makes us want to slosh through every puddle we see).

An escape from reality, Le Rêve, French for “The Dream,” takes you through passion and heartbreak in a storyline that is about as steamy as it gets…and we’re not talking about the red-hot fire and water action either.

The show has so many incredible elements, starting with the theater itself. It’s not small, but it’s very intimate, a lot like the shape of a funnel – so there’s really no bad seat in the house. Delicate fabric flowers flutter down from the ceiling, hiding the most exquisite aerial acrobats that plunge deep into the 27-foot-deep circular pool below. It’s equipped with a mobile platform, which rises and falls for the different scenes.

The water elements perfectly accentuate the performers’ chiseled figures, making the already slinky costumes cling in all the right places, if you know what we mean. The fire and fog create intensity and mystery to an already unbelievable submerging set. There’s dancing, acrobatics, synchronized swimmers, divers and so much more.  This is one show you can’t miss, just trust us on this one…you’ll forget about all those meetings and to-do lists when you melt into the colorful aquatic wonderland that is Le Rêve.

Blue Man Group

Get ready to experience the ultimate sensory overload when our favorite blue bros take the stage and crank up the volume. An audiovisual encounter unlike anything else on the Strip, the Blue Man Group at Monte Carlo is fun for the whole family and just doesn’t get old no matter how many times you see it.

The disembodied narrators of the Blue Man Group show profess to know a lot about human nature and social evolution, but the three earless, voiceless, blue-skinned, black-clad stars are oddly oblivious. Through music, movement and only a little bit of verbal communication, you become a part of this production and swim in the sights, sounds and confetti that douse the theater.

Blue Man Group sprinkles its show with good clean fun like variety acts and quick-change illusions, but the core of its appeal is the company’s signature music, played on far-out, makeshift instruments. With lighting and special effects, Blue Man Group isn’t a show with a soundtrack — it’s a soundtrack with a show.

Seriously fun and unconventionally educational, at the show’s end, you’ll have had a lot of laughs, and have maybe even shaken your caboose. Go ahead and let your jaw drop open, after all, being consumed by entertainment produced by three blue men is a perfectly acceptable reaction.

David Copperfield

It’s David freakin’ Copperfield. Need we say more? We really don’t but since we love talking about this world-famous magician who just so happens to be our neighbor, we’ll go on and brag about him and his show anyway. The perfect combo of nostalgia, magic and showmanship, master illusionist David Copperfield continues to wow us time and again. Trust us, we’ve been about 17 times and still can’t figure out how he teleports. Seriously, how does he do that?!

Anyway, moving on. This show is just mystifying enough to make you believe in the supernatural, while also making you feel like a crazy person for considering whether or not someone could actually separate their torso from their legs and live to tell the tale. We just aren’t sure how he pulls off his magic but we are more than O.K. with it.

In fact, we hope the mystery continues to endure the test of time so that we can keep attending the show and increasing our chances of being picked for the audience participation. Let’s be real here. We are talking about the man who made Statue of Liberty disappear and who walked through the Great Wall of China. Clearly, anything is possible. Don’t believe us? See Copperfield perform for yourself and let us know just how many of his illusions and tricks you manage to figure out. And if you get pulled onstage, we’ll be insanely jealous.

Fantasy, a dynamic topless revue, showcases eight of the Strip’s sexiest dancers flaunting your wildest fantasies.

Heating up the intimate 350-seat Atrium Showroom, the women of Fantasy almost bare it all in a variety of sultry costumes throughout the high-energy dance numbers. However, while the costumes play a big role in bringing sinful scenes such as sexy schoolgirls, rowdy cowgirls, and spicy Latin dancers to life, it’s when the costumes hit the floor that jaws really drop to the same level. With the majority of the show’s soundtrack sang live by Fantasy host, Jamie Lynch, each act is filled with undeniable talent at every level. The show was awarded the “Best Topless Show” in the Las Vegas Weekly’s “Best of Vegas” 2014.

With 14 dance numbers including a girls-only ménage à trios, a solo pole dancing act, an aerial performance, and a slow and steamy burlesque striptease from a curve-hugging evening gown to nothing but skin, there is certainly something for everyone in the sizzling performance. And during the dancers’ costume changes, comic relief, Sean E. Cooper, keeps audiences entertained (although his top does not come off) with a stitching set of jokes and celebrity impersonations as well as audience involvement — even pulling a front row audience member up on the stage at one point.

Fantasy welcomes new women every six months, so the show is always evolving — and there is always something new to tantalize you. If you’ve never seen the women who rock the Luxor, you’re in for a treat but if you already know how sweet it is to watch this sexy show, maybe it’s time to go back for more and let the girls unfold a new fantasy just for you.
